Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation is the practice of ingesting the placenta after it has been steamed, dehydrated, ground, and placed into gelatin or vegetable capsules. The purpose of Placentophagy is to reintroduce the beneficial vitamins, minerals, hormones, proteins, and other nutrients to the birthing person’s body following birth. Placentophagy has been known to help restore a more balanced body functions, prevent “baby-blues” and the more serious postpartum depression, increase breast-milk production, shorten postpartum healing time, increase maternal energy levels, and provide an overall feeling of wellness.
● Pick up of placenta after delivery (There is travel fee if more than 25 miles from Palm Springs)
● Placenta preparation and encapsulation (steaming, dehydrating and encapsulating)
● Proper storage container for the placenta pills
● Instructions for proper storage and suggested dosage of capsules and tincture (if applicable)
● Delivery of placenta package to birth location or client’s home within 3-4 days of delivery
● Umbilical cord keepsake (if cord is long enough and allows)
